The Foundation Robert-Cliche was initiated in 1978 thanks to the initiative of Judge Robert Cliche and his wife Madeleine Ferron, in order to provide a permanent financial support to the Société du patrimoine des Beaucerons. This would then allow it to fulfill its mission of safeguard and development of the Beauce historical and contemporary heritage.

This regional foundation, the first of its kind in the province of Quebec, is a privately held company managed by people of the region who are fiduciary of a monetary fund of which the usufruct constitutes one of the independent sources of financing of the Société du patrimoine des Beaucerons.
